9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The purpose of the Community Youth Information Forum 2009 is to assist high school, junior high school (15-18 years) and community youth (18-30 years), in particular those facing barriers to employment, to obtain the labour market information necessary to make successful career decisions in order to connect to the workforce. There will be booth displays involving local, regional, and provincial employers, as well as organizations delivering programs and services that will assist youth with making the connection to education and employment.
Concurrent workshops in the areas of labour market information, career planning, and job search methods will also be available. The Community Youth Information Forum 2009 will provide an excellent opportunity for current and future jobseekers looking for summer employment to meet with potential employers.
