Hello to all. My parents were originally from Cupids, & I have 2 sisters still living there. Loved the info, especially the picture. It made me homesick and all the great fun at the post office,at Bram`s store, & even the old pond.Great memories. Hope to see old friends again when it`s John Guy`s 400th Ann.

Great to see this site...keeps me in touch with all the happenings along the Baccalieu Trail. Now living in Alberta...hope to get home soon. Good luck with all your initiatives in the continuing development of the Baccalieu Trail.

I hope to be visiting Dildo in November! The Arrogant Worms have a song that mentions it - great advertizing!

Found your website interesting. I am a descendant of Isaac Royle (Oct 1842-May 19, 1912)and Leah Whiteway (approx. 1849-Nov. 1886)of Job's Cove, Trinity Bay. They were married on Dec. 30, 1869. They had several children; one of which was my great grandfather, Charles Royle, who latter settled in Grand Bank and married Elizabeth Forsey (daughter of Fred Forsey and Maria Christine Simms). I don't have any information on grampa's grandmother, Sarah Short, married to James Royle or of my grampa's mother, Leah Whiteway, originally from Lower Island Cove. Would anyone reading this have any information on these two ladies? Hope to hear from someone regarding this. Thanks in advance. By the way, I'm very proud of my Newfoundland heritage!
