Targeted Initiative for Older Workers

The Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW) program is focused on and committed to assisting older workers between the ages of 55 – 64, who have been displaced from the workforce, become familiar with today’s workplace, build essential employment search skills, as well as to help them to build employability skills that will assist them to gain immediate employment. The TIOW program consists of the following essential/employability skills:

• Fundamental Skills to help individuals better prepare to progress in the world of work
• Personal Management Skills that drive one’s potential for growth and achievement
• Teamwork Skills that contribute to productivity
• Providing Employment Assistance Services
